They are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support annuity-focused new product initiatives, working closely with various partners to shape practical solutions that meet user needs and business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with stakeholders across product, operations, and technology to uncover business needs and convert them into well-defined user stories and functional documentation
- Contribute to Agile delivery activities by supporting sprint planning, daily collaboration, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives to keep work aligned with priorities
- Work alongside technical teams to help define scalable solutions, support early concept development, and influence product planning decisions
- Evaluate existing workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements through automation or better use of technology
- Assist with production support efforts by investigating issues, helping coordinate fixes, and promoting system reliability for business users
- Track operational incidents, maintain clear documentation, and support resolution activities while identifying patterns that can reduce future disruptions
- Serve as a connector between business and technical teams by clarifying expectations, communicating progress, and helping manage delivery timelines
- Develop and execute validation approaches such as test scenarios and requirement checks to confirm solutions meet intended business outcomes
- Review system and user data to uncover trends, support decision-making, and inform enhancements to annuity-related products
- Support new product development efforts by helping refine requirements, align cross-functional teams, and maintain momentum from concept through release
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in a Business Analyst or IT Business Analyst role
- Hands-on background in the financial services sector, including experience supporting annuity-related business functions
- Demonstrated ability to gather requirements and translate them into user stories, functional specifications, and other business documentation
- Experience working in Agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail in complex business situations
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
- Ability to succeed in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and multiple concurrent initiatives
- Previous involvement with new product development teams is strongly preferred
