Role Summary
This role supports enterprise endpoint management by implementing, administering, and maintaining Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) environments. The position will help ensure endpoints comply with organizational security policies through reliable patching, software deployment, and vulnerability remediation workflows. You will also support content distribution performance and troubleshooting across MECM-related services and automation. The role operates at a journeyman or SME level based on experience, with a hybrid schedule and an emphasis on hands-on MECM administration in real-world environments.
Responsibilities
- Implement, administer, and maintain enterprise MECM environments for endpoint management
- Configure and optimize content distribution to improve endpoint performance and reliability
- Develop, test, and deploy software packages, updates, and patches using MECM
- Create and maintain task sequences for automated OS deployments and upgrades
- Troubleshoot MECM operations, including client health issues and content distribution problems
- Support vulnerability remediation activities using MECM-based management workflows
- Develop PowerShell scripts and automation solutions to streamline endpoint management tasks
- Ensure endpoint compliance with organizational security policies and standards
- Maintain detailed documentation for configurations, processes, and operational procedures
- Generate and analyze reports on software deployments, compliance, and system health
Qualifications
- This position requires eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance. In accordance with federal law, U.S. citizenship is required. (Active Secret clearance).
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE or CySA+) required to obtain credentials/access
- 5+ years of direct experience supporting or leading MECM efforts in large enterprise environments
- Hands-on MECM administration experience focused on endpoint management and operational troubleshooting
- Experience delivering vulnerability remediation through endpoint management processes
- Windows Server administration expertise (2012–2025), including Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS
- Practical experience with Windows imaging, deployment, task sequences, and driver management
- Ability to troubleshoot and support endpoint distribution health and client communication
- PowerShell proficiency for automation and systems management tasks
- Working knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or commensurate expertise)
Publishing Pay Range: $48.00 - $50.00 hourly
This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
