Suhner USA is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand their presence in the North American CNC machining market. This role involves developing strategic relationships with key industry partners and driving market adoption within targeted accounts, requiring a proactive approach and the ability to navigate complex organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute account plans for key industry partners
- Build relationships across multiple functions, including sales, engineering, and management
- Establish credibility and position Suhner as a trusted partner within target organizations
- Engage stakeholders at different levels and functions within customer organizations
- Build internal alignment to support adoption of Suhner solutions
- Advance discussions from initial contact to defined commercial opportunities
- Identify and develop new opportunities within targeted accounts
- Maintain a structured pipeline and consistently progress active opportunities
- Manage long sales cycles and maintain momentum through follow-up and coordination
- Work with industry partners to support opportunity development and execution
- Strengthen relationships that support long-term business growth
- Assist partners in identifying and advancing opportunities within their organizations
- Collaborate with engineering, sales support, and product management teams
- Coordinate resources to support customer requirements and opportunity development
- Ensure clear communication between internal teams and external partners
- Provide feedback on customer needs, competitive activity, and market trends
- Maintain accurate reporting of pipeline, activities, and forecasts
- Contribute to ongoing refinement of growth strategy
Requirements:
- Proven experience in business development or technical sales within CNC machining, tooling, or industrial markets
- Demonstrated ability to develop relationships within complex organizations and engage multiple stakeholders
- Experience working with machine tool manufacturers, distributors, or similar channel environments
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to move opportunities forward
- Self-directed, persistent, and comfortable operating in an evolving market
- Effective communication, organization, and follow-through skills
- Willingness to travel as required
