Member of Technical Staff - Research

Raydar is a Palo Alto AI research lab focused on developing advanced LLM agents. The Member of Technical Staff will take ownership of research initiatives, leading projects from conception to prototype, while collaborating with engineers to turn research into practical applications.

Responsibilities:

• Lead research initiatives across LLM reasoning, post-training, and agentic system design
• Develop new methods to improve the capability, reliability, and safety of autonomous LLM agents in real-world environments
• Partner with software and platform engineers to prototype and productionize research into sticky product experiences
• Design and run experiments, benchmark performance, and analyze model behaviors to find failure modes and opportunities
• Track emerging work in reasoning, multi-agent systems, RLHF, tool use, and fine-tuning, and contribute to publications or open-source efforts
• Help shape the research culture and technical roadmap as one of the first members of the team
