MediaNews Group is a client-centric digital agency that focuses on solving complex marketing challenges. The Search Marketing Specialist will be responsible for managing paid search campaigns, including strategy, execution, and optimization, while collaborating with various departments to ensure successful outcomes for clients.
Responsibilities:
- Creating and managing a book of paid search campaigns (PPC, Display, Mobile, Microsoft, Google Ads) across a variety of industries and utilizing various internal web-based systems
- Analyzing campaign performance using a variety of programs including Google Analytics and Adtaxi’s proprietary tools
- Keyword research and expansion, ad copy creation, competitive benchmarking, bid management and budget pacing of accounts
- Provide proactive and strategic campaign recommendations on a regular basis
- Implementing advanced campaign additions including Pmax, dynamic remarketing, YouTube advertising, shopping campaigns, advanced bidding strategies and Conversion Tracking
- Work closely with other departments in the company and vendors to ensure a successful campaign and holistic experience for our clients
- QA campaigns before launching
- Assess landing pages used in search engine marketing campaigns
- Create campaign reports
- Monitoring of new trends in Search and making recommendations to client-facing staff
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years managing campaigns on Google Ads and Microsoft Ads (Analytics certification preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong attention to detail
- Extensive knowledge of Google Analytics or other third party analytics and optimization tools
- Ability to multi-task and work within firm deadlines
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
- Prior experience with PPC and SEO management platforms
- Proficiency in Excel and strong quantitative skills
- Agency experience or experience working with multiple direct response advertiser accounts
- Analytics certification preferred
- Basic HTML and CSS knowledge, and experience with tag managers is a plus
