Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Atlas Connections is a vertically integrated mission-critical infrastructure company specializing in the design, construction, and commissioning of hyperscale data centers. They are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to design electrical power systems for these facilities, ensuring safety and reliability while coordinating closely with various teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design electrical power systems for hyperscale data centers, including power distribution, medium voltage, switchgear, UPS, and standby generation
• Develop electrical one-line diagrams and supporting design documentation
• Perform load, short-circuit, and arc-flash studies
• Contribute to substation and site power design
• Coordinate closely with construction, manufacturing, and commissioning teams to keep designs buildable and on schedule
• Apply NEC and NFPA 70E throughout the design process

Requirements:

• Experience designing electrical power systems for data centers, ideally hyperscale
• Strong command of medium-voltage distribution, switchgear, UPS, and standby generation
• Proficiency with power-systems software such as SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower
• Working knowledge of Revit (electrical) and AutoCAD
• Solid grounding in NEC and NFPA 70E
• Willingness to travel to Dallas 2 to 3 times per month, with minimal days per trip
• Active PE strongly preferred. We are open to candidates working toward licensure with the right experience
