Electrical Design Engineer

Verto People is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a fully remote design engineering role focused on complex power generation systems for mission-critical infrastructure. The role involves supporting the design of large-scale islanded power generation systems and collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to solve non-standard engineering challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Support the design of large-scale islanded power generation systems
• Work on complex generation assets, electrical infrastructure and power plant systems
• Contribute to engineering solutions for rapid load-change and mission-critical power requirements
• Review and develop design concepts for non-standard power generation applications
• Collaborate remotely with multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Apply electrical design engineering judgement to review technically challenging project work
• Support problem-solving across combined cycle, simple cycle and related generation environments

Requirements:

• Around 7+ years' electrical engineering experience
• Experience with power generation, electrical power systems or generation assets
• Combined cycle power generation or simple cycle power generation experience is highly desirable
• Islanded power systems experience is highly desirable
