Senior OpenStack / OpenShift Cloud Architect

About the Role
We are seeking two seasoned Cloud Infrastructure Architects to lead the design, deployment, and ongoing operations of enterprise-grade OpenStack/OpenShift environments. You will work at the intersection of infrastructure, automation, and security shaping private and hybrid cloud platforms that are scalable, compliant, and built to last.
What You'll Do
Design & Architecture
- Lead deployment and configuration of RHOSP 17.1-based cloud environments across compute, storage, and networking
- Define Linux and OpenStack architectural standards, ensuring scalability, security, and automation
- Collaborate with Cloud, DevOps, and Application teams to integrate workloads across hybrid infrastructure
Cloud Operations
- Manage day-to-day OpenStack operations uptime, stability, performance tuning
- Oversee monitoring, patch management, node scaling, and disaster recovery automation
- Develop Ansible playbooks for provisioning, patching, and configuration management
Security & Compliance
- Validate STIG compliance and enforce firewall, SELinux, and authentication policies
- Conduct vulnerability scans via Red Hat Insights or OpenSCAP and track remediation
- Review and harden RHOSP 17.x configurations against security standards
Monitoring & Observability
- Configure Ceilometer, STF, Prometheus, and Grafana for telemetry and alerting
- Perform log reviews across OpenStack services and identify fault patterns
Lifecycle & Capacity
- Plan and test RHOSP upgrades in staging before production rollout
- Add and validate compute nodes using Director (TripleO); support GPU node onboarding
- Automate backup/recovery for OpenStack databases, configs, and metadata
Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
- Create technical documentation for architecture, deployment, and configuration
- Lead knowledge transfer sessions and deliver monthly improvement reports
