
Key Responsibilities
- 8+ years of experience in Municipal Bonds primary markets (issuance, syndication, pricing, allocations, settlement)
- Develop deep expertise in Munis deal lifecycle, including new issue workflows, order book management, allocations,
and investor distribution
- Define and execute the product vision and roadmap aligned to strategic priorities for Munis platforms (e.g., Deal
Central / issuance platforms)
- Drive front-to-back workflow integration, ensuring seamless data flow across origination, syndication, and
settlement systems
- Partner with syndicate desks, bankers, sales, and operations to understand pain points and prioritize high-impact
solutions
- Communicate product strategy, roadmap, and outcomes to senior stakeholders (including C-suite) and drive
adoption across business users
- Own and prioritize the program and product backlog, balancing regulatory, business, and platform modernization
priorities
- Lead delivery across 1-3 cross-functional Agile teams, ensuring alignment and value delivery
- Define and refine user stories and acceptance criteria with a focus on automation, data integrity, and client
transparency
- Make real-time trade-off decisions between new features, regulatory requirements, and platform stability
- Ensure high-quality delivery and acceptance of features, with a focus on scalability and resilience
- Drive automation and straight-through processing (STP) across Munis execution workflows
- Support user training, demos, and change management to improve adoption and user experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Technology, Finance, or related field; MBA/MS preferred
- Deep understanding of:
o Municipal bond issuance lifecycle (competitive & negotiated deals)
o Syndication, pricing, and allocation processes
o Regulatory and compliance requirements in Munis markets
- Experience working directly with front office (syndicate/trading desks) is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of fixed income products and market structure
- Proven ability to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
- Experience troubleshooting production issues and driving timely resolution
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex topics to business and executive stakeholders
- Experience leading large-scale platform initiatives and user experience improvements
- Strong Agile experience:
o Backlog prioritization, story writing, acceptance criteria
o Tools such as JIRA and Confluence
- Experience working in global, cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with reporting/BI tools and standard productivity tools (MS Office, Visio, etc.)
