The Field Service Engineer will provide technical training, troubleshoot products, and promote Franklin Electric's offerings at events while ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Schedules and provides technical training to distributor personnel, contractors, dealers, and/or installers
- Tests and troubleshoots Franklin Electric products. Supervises and assists at product installations
- Promotes and represents Franklin Electric products and programs at tradeshows and special events. Conducts product demonstrations as needed
- Collects and reports marketing information pertaining to competitive products, industry distribution or personnel changes, and customer needs or desires
- Writes and submits weekly reports, as well as special reports needed to highlight problems at specific sites and/or with certain customers or products
- Interprets an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deals with several abstract and concrete variables
- Effectively communicates information and responds to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, the general public, and/or other employees of the organization
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Technology, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent relevant experience
- Travels 70 percent of the time, including up to 50 percent overnight travel
- Three to five years of related water systems or industry experience
