Data Engineer - Healthcare

CenterWell Senior Primary Care is a leading healthcare services provider focused on personalized care for seniors. The Data Engineer - Healthcare will develop scalable data processing architectures to transform data into insights, leveraging cloud-native platforms and AI techniques to improve service delivery and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop scalable data processing architectures and solutions that facilitate the efficient transformation of structured and unstructured data into insights across the enterprise
• Ingest data from internal and external sources using cloud-native platforms and apply industry-standard software development practices and patterns
• Develop capabilities using artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big data techniques to transform data, allowing Humana to enhance service delivery for members
• Contribute to shape departmental strategy and make decisions regarding technical approaches to complex project components, exercising considerable latitude in setting goals and methods

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
• 2+ years' technical experience in data analysis or engineering
• Proficiency in SQL and Python
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
• Assess complex data sets and conduct root cause analysis
• Experience using data to improve outcomes and decisions
• Can work in the EST time zone
• Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Experience working with healthcare data from diverse EHRs, and an understanding of Membership, Medicare Risk Adjustment, and quality metrics (such as HEDIS)
• Experience working with Snowflake Cloud
• Experience with the Azure ecosystem
• Familiarity with dbt (data build tool) framework
