Job Summary:
The State of Virginia is seeking an experienced Salesforce Programmer Analyst to support Salesforce application development, enhancement, and maintenance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Salesforce Service Cloud, Apex Development, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Copado CI/CD. The candidate should follow a configuration-first approach, collaborate closely with DevOps teams, contribute to technical documentation, and support deployment and troubleshooting activities.
Only local candidates near Glen Allen, VA will be considered due to the hybrid onsite requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain Salesforce applications and solutions.
Develop and customize Salesforce Service Cloud functionality to meet business requirements.
Build and maintain Salesforce Apex Classes and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
Follow a configuration-first approach when implementing Salesforce solutions.
Utilize Copado for source control, deployment automation, and CI/CD processes.
Create, execute, and maintain unit tests to ensure code quality and compliance.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to troubleshoot, debug, and remediate production and deployment issues.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to Salesforce development best practices.
Contribute to technical documentation, system design documents, and implementation guides.
Support release management and deployment activities across environments.
Work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver scalable Salesforce solutions.

Lightning Web Components (LWC) 6+ Years

Jira 5+ Years
Strong understanding of Salesforce platform customization and configuration.
Experience following a configuration-first development methodology.
Experience writing unit tests and maintaining code coverage standards.
Experience collaborating with DevOps teams for deployment and issue resolution.
Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
Overall IT experience of 9 10 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
Salesforce certifications preferred.
Experience working in government or public sector environments.
Knowledge of Salesforce deployment best practices and release management.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Experience with enterprise-level Salesforce implementations.
