AI-Native Quality Engineering Manager

IDR, Inc. is seeking an AI-Native Quality Engineering Manager to join one of their top clients for a remote opportunity. This role involves leading the adoption of AI-assisted testing practices within a quality engineering environment, focusing on AI-driven automation and quality metrics for enterprise-scale software products.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of Quality Engineers, Automation Engineers, and Testers in an AI-driven testing ecosystem
• Drive the strategic adoption of AI-powered testing tools and frameworks, continuously improving automation coverage and testing efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and measure quality metrics, ensuring high-quality releases and minimal defects
• Evaluate AI and machine learning tools such as Claude, Copilot, and other solutions to optimize testing processes, defect detection, and quality standards
• Remain technically engaged by guiding technical testing decisions and integrating AI-assisted practices into existing workflows and pipelines

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in QA, Quality Engineering, or Test Automation
• 2+ years of people management or leadership experience managing large QA teams
• Strong hands-on automation experience with API, UI, Integration, and End-to-End testing
• Proven experience leading automation strategy, framework enhancements, and industry best practices in agile environments
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, and Azure OpenAI, and experience leveraging AI to improve test creation, maintenance, and defect analysis
