Nexaminds is a company on a mission to redefine industries with AI. They are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, optimize, and scale high-performance backend systems and modern cloud applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and deploy highly scalable microservices, data pipelines, and APIs using Java, Python, and GCP
- Modernize and optimize core cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and seamless data flow
- Maximize development velocity and code quality by effectively leveraging GitHub Copilot within daily engineering workflows
- Proactively identify, prioritize, and remediate security vulnerabilities to ensure application safety and data protection
- Conduct thorough code reviews, championing high test coverage, clean code practices, and detailed technical documentation
Requirements:
- 5–8+ years of professional backend engineering experience working with both Java and Python
- Deep expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-native architectures
- Hands-on experience building, maintaining, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and core backend systems
- Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI/ML backend integration patterns
- Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot to drive efficiency and clean code standards
- A strong mindset for Application Security (AppSec), with experience identifying and fixing codebase/dependency security vulnerabilities
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across cross-functional product, data, and infrastructure teams
- Strong written and verbal English proficiency
