Sigma Technologies, Ltd. is a growing engineering and design firm with over 500 team members across 30+ states. They are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to assist in planning and executing projects, liaising with project stakeholders, and monitoring project progress to ensure successful delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Manager in planning and executing projects from planning through delivery
- Liaises between project members, cross-functional teams, and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables, requirements, schedules, cost, and meeting plans are communicated
- Utilizes appropriate tools to plan project milestones and deadlines
- Monitor task completion status to identify at-risk projects and communicate with Project Managers
- Assists Project Manager with managing the entire life cycle of a function(s), project(s), program, and/or customer, from set-up through execution to close-out
- Liaising with project stakeholders concerning project details and deliverables
- Assisting in the planning and implementation of projects
- Helping to coordinate and manage project tasks and deliverables
- Analyzing data as required
- Prepares agendas, and meeting notes, drafting invoices, drawing estimates, and project summaries
- Monitors task completion status to identify at-risk project tasks and reports project progress
- Performing other duties assigned by the Project Manager in an orderly and efficient manner
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- HS Diploma or equivalent is required
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience with power distribution design or related projects; management may consider other education and/or work experience to be acceptable for appointment to this position
- Available during the 'core' work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday-Friday; occasional evening and weekend work may be required as duties demand
- Willing and able to travel as needed, including monthly overnight travel
- Dependable transportation and valid driver's license and insurance
- Able to pass a background check/drug test/driving record check
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to endure frequent/lengthy: Driving, standing, walking long distances (5 miles or more in a day), navigating rough terrain on foot, and lifting/balancing objects that may weigh up to ~20 lbs. and require the use of upper extremities and back muscles; work in proximity to moving vehicles in the right of way
- Must be able to endure frequent, lengthy periods of sedentary work and sit for prolonged periods of time, including sitting at a desk and driving in a vehicle
- Must be able to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone for prolonged periods of time
- Must have the physical ability to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing notes, and viewing a computer terminal; these activities require close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Must have the physical ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word and convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, often in a group setting
- Must have the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication
