JOB PURPOSE
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

The Business Data Integrity Team (BDIT) ESS Business Data Senior Specialist is the Team Lead for BDIT. As the team lead, they are responsible for all elements of the BDIT requirements including Issue resolution, Asset and New Instruction Record management as well as ESS Application development. The position is also responsible for managing the administrative requirements of the BDIT members.
To ensure the continued airworthiness of the RSAF Typhoon fleet it is imperative that the engineering records are maintained to ensure the configured management of the Aircraft and equipment.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Managing BDIT to ensure the timely and effective management of all Typhoon aircraft and equipment engineering records, both electronic and hard copy.
• Provide the focal point within the TSC for Typhoon BDIT, interfacing with the RSAF at all levels to assist with their understanding of Typhoon BDIT requirements.
• Liaising with the Fleet Management, ESS Reference Data Integrity (DIT) Forward & Depth Maintenance organisations to ensure nationalised Technical Instruction and Scheduled Maintenance requirements and updates are loaded on to ESS in a timely and effective manner.
• Provide SME advice and assistance to the ESS Business Data Specialists, ESS NIR Specialists and the ESS Asset specialists.
• Conduct oversight of BDIT Issue, Asset Management and NIR Management related activities.
• Lead activities to develop ESS Application capability for the RSAF. Ensuring all requests for improvements are fully validated and authorised prior to formal request release. Conduct test and evaluation of all application changes prior to embodiment to the RSAF ESS System.
• Ensure robust ‘On the Job’ training material is available which enable BDIT staff to carry out the required actions detailed within the BDIT process documents.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
Essential:
• Bachelor Degree in an Engineering discipline, Minimum Level: GPA 3.5 and/or at least 5 years’ experience within an Aircraft Engineering or Data Management environment.
• IELTS (Minimum level: 5.5) or equivalent or Native English Speaker
Desirable:
• Understanding of the principles of an Electronic Equipment Management System, specifically the Typhoon ESS system.
• Understanding of the principles of a Configured Data Set, specifically Typhoon ESS data, Reference data and Business data principles and Typhoon Technical Publications.
• Understanding of the principles of Engineering Governance systems, specifically the RSAF Logistics Management Regulations (LMR).
