Numerator is looking for a Technical Product Manager for their Data Extraction team. The role involves managing the product roadmap, working with various teams to enhance data processing, and leveraging SQL for decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Own the team’s roadmap and set clear priorities for the team; work with engineering leads to drive quarterly planning sessions
- Gather feedback from around the organization and incorporate industry knowledge to modify the roadmap and re-prioritize as necessary
- Own the team’s objectives, key results, and monitor metrics regularly to measure the team’s performance and impact; use these metrics in your decision making on priorities
- Supervise the day-to-day execution: work with the Product Owner to run standups, sprints, and planning for our development team, and maintain and prioritize a backlog of tickets
- Guide the team into translating the product specifications into mockups and actionable work items
- Be the Subject Matter Expert for our receipt processing business logic and communicate the implications of this logic to other teams, both technical and non-technical
- Manage resource allocation across different initiatives and work closely with engineering leaders to make sure that key engineering talent is efficiently allocated
- Work effectively with remote teams across multiple time zones, domestic and off-shore
- Leverage SQL to create new KPIs, investigate data issues, and gather information to inform decision-making
Requirements:
- Ability to work with internal stakeholders on collecting feedback, prioritizing tasks, and managing the engineering backlog
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be able to speak the technical language of engineers, as well as the language of our clients to Sales & Services teams
- Demonstrated ability to manage many competing tasks and timelines and communicate their status and results effectively to multiple stakeholders
- Intermediate experience in SQL required
- Self-motivated, self-directed, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment in an industry that's constantly changing
- Ability to both drive the execution of projects and also think strategically about the team's objectives
- Previous experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner or strong Agile / Scrum process understanding, with 2+ years of experience preferred
- Technical background (Computer Science, engineering, etc) strongly preferred, or demonstrated ability to understand technical processes and AI/ML models
- An understanding of consumer, retail, or eCommerce datasets at a granular level would be nice to have
