
Engagement and Events Officer - AtoBetter | 10662 | Temporary Contract | Variable hours per week (Monday- Sunday) | £25,185 per annum pro-rata / £13.05 per hour (Scale B) | County hall, Norwich
We are seeking enthusiastic and personable individuals to join the Norfolk County Council AtoBetter team, supporting the delivery of sustainable and active travel initiatives across Norfolk.
AtoBetter is dedicated to making everyday journeys easier, while encouraging people to travel by walking, cycling, public transport, and car sharing. We work closely with local communities to provide free travel advice and practical support. Events, workshops, and community sessions are a key part of our engagement approach.
About the Role
As an Engagement and Events Officer, you will contribute to the planning, promotion, and delivery of a wide range of events. This includes supporting event logistics, engaging with local residents, community groups and stakeholders, and collecting valuable feedback from participants.
This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on both public health and the environment by encouraging sustainable travel behaviours across Norfolk.
Working Arrangements
We are recruiting multiple individuals on a casual basis to build a flexible team capable of supporting events throughout the year. While the role does not require a significant time commitment, availability for occasional evening and weekend work is essential.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Previous experience in event planning or delivery is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
