• Reconcile Subsidiary Ledgers to the General Ledger.
• Review the work prepared by the Staff Accountant(s).
• Perform Bank reconciliations.
• Maintain the General Ledger for a portfolio of rental properties.
• Prepare the monthly analytical review of the financial statements.
• Prepare monthly Financial Statements for a portfolio of rental properties.
• Prepare Cash Flow analyses. • Assist the Controller with special projects.
• Performs supervisory duties on behalf of the company with respect to company associates, including hiring, suspending, discharging, assigning/directing work, providing direction, disciplining and coaching, communicating company information and changes, and modeling corporate values.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Must possess strong mathematical, financial, and analytical abilities
• Must possess strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel and Accounting software
• Ability to work under little supervision and still prioritize tasks
• Ability to interact and effectively communicate with all employees at all levels of the organization
• Ability to identify issues and recommend solutions expeditiously
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Experience with multi-family housing software a plus
• High level proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook
• Work requires no unusual demand for physical effort
• Work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting or training rooms, conference halls or commercial vehicles e.g., use of safe workplace practices with office equipment, and/or avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire regulations
Salary: $90,000 annually
