MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Executive Director of Total Rewards to join our team in Herndon, VA.
This role is a key member of the HR senior leadership team, responsible for defining, continually shaping, and executing enterprise-wide strategy for Compensation, Benefits, and Executive Pay. This position intentionally weaves our compensation philosophy together with progressive health and welfare benefits to articulate a powerful, modern Employee Value Proposition (EVP) that protects, rewards, and motivates our global workforce.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Design and execute a holistic, enterprise-wide total rewards framework that integrates compensation philosophy with progressive health and welfare benefits to enhance the global Employee Value Proposition (EVP).
Lead the strategy, structural design, and day-to-day administration of executive compensation programs, focusing on Long-Term Incentives (LTIs) and performance-driven reward vehicles.
Partner directly with the CHRO to prepare data, financial modeling, compliance reviews, and governance materials for the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors.
Direct, mentor, and develop a dedicated team of health and welfare professionals to build elevated technical capabilities and ensure seamless service delivery.
Maintain baseline compliance with industry-specific federal regulations, procurement guidelines, and emerging pay transparency mandates unique to the government services sector.
Advance data-driven insights through financial modeling and scenario analysis while optimizing HRIS tools (specifically Workday) to enhance delivery and transparency.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
15+ years of progressive HR experience with deep, comprehensive expertise across both compensation and health & welfare benefits.
Direct, hands-on experience in Executive Compensation, including the strategic design, implementation, and administration of Long-Term Incentive (LTI) programs.
Minimum of 5 years serving in a dedicated senior leadership or executive role.
Proven experience operating successfully within high operational tempo (op tempo) environments with the ability to pivot strategies quickly.
Demonstrated track record of directly managing and leading a team of benefits and health and welfare professionals.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience operating within a private equity-backed corporate structure or portfolio company environment.
Proven experience managing Total Rewards due diligence through rapid post-merger integration (M&A).
Experience navigating complex corporate structures within the Government Contracting (GovCon) services industry.
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and/or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation.
Advanced hands-on experience leveraging Workday HRIS.

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Position requires occasionally moving about inside the office to access file cabinets and office machinery.
