The Benefits Intern will be an integral member of the HR team, gaining hands-on experience in the programs and initiatives that support employee well-being and engagement. As a Benefits Intern, you'll work alongside experienced HR professionals on a variety of projects related to health and welfare benefits, retirement programs, leave administration, employee communications, and benefits operations. You'll have the opportunity to analyze data, contribute to employee-focused initiatives, explore emerging HR technologies, and gain exposure to the strategic side of Total Rewards.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day benefits administration activities, including employee enrollments, status changes, and benefit terminations.
- Support the maintenance of employee benefits records and ensure data accuracy within HRIS and benefits systems.
- Help prepare and distribute benefits communications, educational materials, and enrollment resources.
- Assist with evaluating and leveraging AI and automation tools to improve benefits communications, employee self-service resources, and administrative efficiency.
- Support the development of employee-facing FAQs, knowledge articles, and communications using approved AI technologies.
- Assist with benefits audits, reconciliations, and reporting activities.
- Support open enrollment planning, communications, or employee engagement initiatives.
- Assist in the coordination of wellness programs and employee well-being initiatives.
- Help organize and maintain benefits documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in special projects related to Total Rewards and employee experience.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information and comply with applicable privacy regulations.
Qualifications
- Interest in Human Resources, Benefits Administration, Total Rewards, or Employee Experience.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to use technology responsibly while maintaining data privacy, confidentiality, and compliance standards.
