Duravant Integrated Solutions is focused on providing solutions to both integrator and end-user customers. They are seeking a Sales Solutions Development Engineer responsible for producing conceptual designs that meet customer needs, staying current on industry technologies, and assisting in proposal creation.
Responsibilities:
- Work with sales to evaluate client needs
- Partner with the OC’s function to understand product capabilities & execution capabilities
- Understand the key technical, operational, and commercial challenges facing the prospective customer to assist in developing a value-added solution
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendor partners
- Stay current on emerging technologies and applications
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, industry specific events and trade shows
- Produce equipment list and pricing
- Solicit quotes for equipment and services
- Maintain drawing block library
- Develop Pricing Review Document (PRD)
- Develop calculation sheets for productivity, throughputs, and rates to aid in solution design
- Create Information Request Form for initial data capture for new opportunities
- Schedules technical and price review meetings
- Maintain quote schedule for timely delivery of proposal
- Actively participates in process improvement
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of material handling equipment application
- Technical writing skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Ability to interface with colleagues and customers at all levels, by virtue of professional competence, integrity and personal style
- Travel 10-20%
