The Role
The Senior Manager, Accounting is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial reporting activities and ensuring compliance with both U.S. GAAP and Canadian accounting requirements. As part of a Private Equity backed SaaS software company, this role serves as the organization’s subject matter expert on accounting standards, financial statement preparation, and technical accounting matters across a multi-entity, cross-border environment.
Reporting to the Vice President, Finance & Controllership, this role plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of the company’s financial reporting (including consolidated statements, footnotes, and audit papers), supporting audits and providing accounting guidance for complex transactions. This is a highly hands-on role in a fast-paced and exciting environment, requiring strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to partner effectively with stakeholders across Finance, Legal, Revenue Operations, Tax, and business leadership. The successful candidate will bring demonstrated experience implementing new systems and establishing scalable processes and governance frameworks to support a high-growth organization.
While the role may provide mentorship and guidance to a small number of team members, it is primarily focused on technical leadership, reporting excellence, and individual contribution rather than large-scale people management. This role offers a clear path for growth, with future opportunities to expand scope into broader accounting and finance leadership.
