Conduct thorough audits of digital assets, including websites, mobile applications, and digital content, to assess their compliance with WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and Level AAA standards.
Identify accessibility barriers and recommend solutions to improve usability for individuals with disabilities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers, developers, and content creators, to integrate accessibility considerations into the design and development process.
Serve as a consultant on accessibility-related projects and provide guidance on best practices.
Develop and deliver training sessions and workshops to educate staff about digital accessibility principles and practices.
Advocate for accessibility initiatives within the organization and raise awareness about its importance.
Create and maintain documentation related to accessibility guidelines, best practices, and reporting of compliance efforts.
Monitor and report on the progress of accessibility improvements and initiatives to stakeholders.
User Testing and Feedback:
Engage users with disabilities to conduct usability testing and gather feedback on digital assets.
Analyze findings and implement necessary changes to enhance accessibility based on user feedback.
Keep Abreast of Trends:
Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and legislation related to digital accessibility.
Recommend enhancements to tools and processes to improve accessibility standards continuously.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Accessibility, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in accessibility testing and compliance, preferably in a digital environment.
Strong understanding of WCAG 2.1, ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications), and other accessibility standards.
