LayerNext AI is an AI finance automation platform for mid-market companies. They are seeking a Founding Business Development Representative to own the top of the sales funnel, build target account lists, and book meetings with potential clients.
Responsibilities:
- Research and build target account lists of invoice-heavy mid-market companies, often running legacy finance systems
- Run outbound across email, LinkedIn, and phone to book qualified meetings with controllers, CFOs, and finance leaders
- Qualify inbound interest from our marketing and product-led channels
- Learn the product deeply enough to speak credibly to a finance buyer about their AP and close pains
- Keep CRM and pipeline data clean, current, and useful
- Test messaging, sequences, and channels, then double down on what works
- Partner with the founder to sharpen our ICP, positioning, and overall playbook
