The Senior Product Marketing Manager will own the strategy and execution of product marketing initiatives, lead go-to-market efforts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product adoption and business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Define and own messaging and positioning strategy for Shippo's products across both our app and API offerings, ensuring our value resonates with merchants, developers, and platform partners
- Lead go-to-market strategy and execution for major product areas and launches, including Shippo’s AI and automation products, from positioning and audience targeting through enablement and adoption,driving cross-functional alignment and ensuring new capabilities translate into measurable customer and business outcomes
- Lead customer and market research (interviews, win/loss analysis, usage insights) and own competitive intelligence across the shipping and logistics landscape, serving as the authoritative voice of the shipper internally and translating insights into positioning, product direction, and GTM strategy
- Enable Sales and Partnerships teams with battlecards, product collateral, pitch narratives, and feature education that improve customer understanding and win rates; serve as a strategic resource for complex deals and key accounts
- Partner with Demand Generation and Growth Marketing to drive qualified pipeline and trade-up, using messaging, lifecycle communications, and educational content to lift adoption and reduce churn across the platform
- Define and track success metrics for product marketing initiatives, using adoption, engagement, and pipeline data to identify opportunities and inform strategy
- Help build the PMM function from the ground up: establish launch playbooks, research cadences, and enablement frameworks that scale as the team grows
Requirements:
- 6–8+ years of product marketing experience in B2B SaaS or an adjacent complex-operations B2B category
- Proven track record of independently owning and executing go-to-market strategy for complex, multi-audience products
- Deep experience leading product launches and GTM initiatives end-to-end, with demonstrated impact on adoption, pipeline, or revenue outcomes
- Experience leading customer research programs, competitive intelligence efforts, and translating market insight into strategic positioning and product direction
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop executive-level narratives, market presentations, and cross-functional alignment materials
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills with demonstrated ability to influence without authority across Product, Growth, Sales, and senior stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to drive product adoption, activation, and feature usage at a strategic level—not just through individual campaigns but through cohesive, insight-driven programs
- Comfort operating with high autonomy in a fast-moving, high-growth environment with multiple audiences and product surfaces
- Experience marketing AI, automation, or agentic products is strongly preferred
- Experience marketing developer or API products is a strong plus
- Direct experience in e-commerce, logistics, or shipping technology a plus
