In-House Connect is the first free national community built exclusively for in-house legal professionals, providing valuable resources for corporate legal departments. They are seeking a self-driven Business Development Manager to grow and manage relationships with law firms and legal tech companies, focusing on prospecting new partners and maintaining existing sponsor relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage prospective sponsors, including law firms and legal service providers
- Conduct outreach campaigns via email, LinkedIn, and other channels
- Schedule and lead introductory calls with potential sponsors
- Manage a portfolio of existing sponsor accounts and deepen relationships through consistent follow-up and engagement
- Prepare and present sponsorship proposals for webinars, in-person events, and custom marketing campaigns
- Track all activity in our CRM (e.g., Pipedrive) and ensure accurate record-keeping
- Collaborate with the CEO and marketing team to align on messaging and goals
- Report on pipeline progress, deal status, and revenue opportunities weekly
Requirements:
- 3+ years of business development, account management, or sales experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, email marketing platforms, and CRMs
- Organized, proactive, and results-driven — able to manage time independently and meet goals
- A team player with a startup mentality and a customer-first mindset
- Familiarity with the legal industry or legal tech space strongly preferred
