Data platform modernization public sector
Role Summary
Owns delivery and the client relationship across all phases from stakeholder discovery and the platform recommendation through to handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivery ownership. Own scope, schedule, milestones, quality, risk, and change control across all phases.
- Stakeholder discovery. Lead workshops and interviews to surface data practices, pain points, and priorities.
- Platform recommendation. Steer the evaluation framework and the structured best-fit platform recommendation.
- Client management. Serve as principal point of contact; lead status reporting, executive readouts, and reviews.
Minimum Qualifications (MQ)
- 10+ years delivering data/analytics consulting engagements, several as delivery lead.
- Led enterprise data warehouse modernization initiatives end-to-end (design, migration, implementation).
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder management across business and IT.
- Working fluency in Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and/or Snowflake.
- Track record managing phased delivery against fixed milestones and budgets.
Desired Qualifications (DQ)
- Transportation, transit, or public-sector experience.
- Familiarity with ridership/operational data and public procurement.
- PMP or equivalent delivery credential.
