Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to design and implement secure, scalable, cloud-native solutions using AWS AppSync, GraphQL, and Apache Velocity Template Language (VTL). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS services, API architecture, security best practices, and modern cloud application design.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions on AWS.
• Develop and maintain GraphQL APIs using AWS AppSync.
• Create and optimize Velocity Template Language (VTL) resolvers for AppSync.
• Define API integration patterns with AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, Aurora, OpenSearch, and other AWS services.
• Implement authentication and authorization using Amazon Cognito, IAM, API Keys, and OIDC.
• Ensure application security by implementing encryption, least-privilege access, secure API design, and AWS security best practices.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
• Conduct architecture reviews, performance tuning, and code reviews.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in solution architecture or cloud application development.
• Strong expertise in AWS AppSync, GraphQL, and Apache Velocity Template Language (VTL).
• Experience with AWS services including Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Cognito, IAM, CloudFormation/CDK, and CloudWatch.
• Strong understanding of API security, OAuth 2.0, JWT, IAM policies, and secure application design.
• Experience designing serverless and microservices architectures.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, and Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation/Terraform).

Preferred Skills

• AWS Solution Architect Certification.
• Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, React/Next.js, or Java.
• Familiarity with AWS Amplify, EventBridge, Step Functions, and CloudFront.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and mentoring technical teams.
