The Regional Product & Applications Manager - Measurement & Instrumentation role involves managing product and application projects, supporting sales channels, and driving business development for Edwards' measurement and instrumentation product portfolio. This position requires technical expertise, customer engagement, and strategic management to enhance product performance and revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
- Acting as a conduit for product and application-related activities with the Divisional product management group
- Supporting North American Sales Channels with product selection, configuration, technical and application support
- Providing pre-sales and technical product support through technical engagements with customers
- Drive new business development opportunities and initiatives across various sales channels
- Identify collaboration opportunities with other divisions and realize M&A synergies
- Product Portfolio Management: Overseeing the Edwards product range for measurement and instrumentation, including leak detection, RGAs, gauges, and hardware
- Revenue Strategies: Developing and implementing strategies to increase revenue, including pricing structure, product management, marketing, and customer training
- Continuous Improvement: Enhancing business performance through profitable growth, operational efficiency, and training sales channels
- Technical Support: Assisting with product-related questions and customer visits
- Customer Engagement: Build long-term Edwards brand value by developing customer trust through positive technical support and engagements
- Problem Solving: Collaborate with customer equipment and process engineers to solve complex equipment and process issues
- Equipment Recommendations: Make and justify equipment recommendations based on customers’ technical requirements
- Simulation Tools: Utilize PumpCalc and other simulation tools to analyze and optimize product performance and configurations
- Technical Presentations: Create and deliver technical presentations to internal partners and external customers
- Project Management: Manage field evaluations of Edwards equipment, including resource identification and justification
- Account Planning: Participate in the account planning of the sales organization to support successful execution of relevant account strategies
- Communication: Work with product companies to solve customer applications, technical, and manufacturing challenges through effective communication
- Market Intelligence: Identify and monitor customers’ manufacturing challenges and provide market intelligence to support future product development
Requirements:
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S
- You have a 4-year engineering or physical sciences degree or higher is preferred; a Master of Science or equivalent work experience in multiple science disciplines is a plus
- At least 6+ years in related or technical field
- Customer Focused - Ability to identify and translate the customer stated and unstated challenges and collaborate with internal partners to identify and implement solutions
- Analytical Thinking - Ability to analyze and dissect a complex problem with intertwined technical and commercial challenges
- Effective Communication - The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to convey highly technical issues in a concise and effective manner is critical for this role
- Work Environment - Experience working in customers under high pressure situations is important
- Time Management – Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and effectively prioritize tasks based the evolving needs of the business
- Impact and Influence - Ability to identify and influence decision makers within Edwards' and customers' organization. Effectively justify resource required to solve technical challenges
