About this role

Kelly Engineering is partnering with a growing medical equipment company on a remote Electrical Design Engineer role in the NYC area. This role involves leading the design and development of electrical systems and requires a BS Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of electrical systems for projects, experiments, prototypes, test systems, and equipment
Develop electrical concepts, system architecture, schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, power distribution designs, control systems, and instrumentation layouts
Select electrical components, sensors, actuators, power supplies, circuit protection, controls hardware, connectors, cables, and other system components
Perform electrical calculations, including load analysis, cable sizing, voltage drop, circuit protection, grounding, and power distribution requirements
Support prototype development, equipment modifications, test setups, and custom electrical builds
Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, cable schedules, design notes, test reports, and as-built documentation

Requirements:

BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or related
Strong experience in electrical design and development for systems, equipment, prototypes, test setups, industrial systems or related applications
Hands-on experience with electrical testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and system integration
