Applications Engineer II

PBS Biotech is an innovative, fast-growing biotechnology company headquartered in Camarillo, California. They are seeking a highly motivated Applications Engineer II to serve as a key technical partner to their global customer base, supporting customers with the successful use of PBS bioreactor systems and contributing to product improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a technical expert supporting customers on PBS bioreactor systems and bioprocess optimization
• Troubleshoot and resolve cell culture and process-related challenges in a timely manner
• Provide remote and on-site training to customers and internal teams
• Partner with Sales to support customer engagements and drive successful adoption of PBS technologies
• Lead and participate in technical discussions with key clients
• Translate customer feedback into actionable insights for product development teams
• Support development of technical marketing materials (application notes, white papers, etc.)
• Work collaboratively with the Field Service team to help complete services on PBS bioreactors in the field as necessary

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Scientific discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience
• Hands-on experience with immune cell culture (T cells, NK cells)
• Experience working with bioreactor systems
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to travel (up to ~25%)
• Experience working in biotech, biopharma, or related industries
• Experience creating technical documentation or publications
• Customer-facing or applications support experience
