Description
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful completion of a variety of projects and initiatives supporting both short- and long-term brand, marketing, and communications strategies. This role works closely with product owners, strategy teams, and Scrum Masters within an Agile Release Train (ART) to coordinate work with external vendors, agency partners, and internal stakeholders. The Project Manager also leads the delivery of initiatives by removing impediments, facilitating team meetings, participating in Scrum ceremonies, and fostering a high-performing collaborative environment.
Major Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects from initiation through implementation while coordinating with key stakeholders across Agile Release Teams. Ensure quality execution and timely delivery of project deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional business teams to identify all tasks required to execute marketing campaigns and appropriately assign or coordinate those activities.
- Partner with vendors, agency partners, and internal teams to coordinate resources, schedules, and project deliverables.
- Manage creative workflows to ensure projects are properly briefed, planned, prioritized, executed within scope, and delivered on time and within budget.
- Work with Scrum Masters to ensure project goals, scope, and product backlog items are clearly understood and effectively executed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional business units to define, develop, and execute project plans, including scope, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations.
- Manage inter-team dependencies and resolve impediments while keeping teams focused on project objectives.
- Ensure marketing materials comply with applicable regulatory and compliance requirements by partnering with internal compliance teams.
- Maintain strong working relationships across marketing, creative, digital, and business teams.
- Support continuous improvement by assisting leadership with process enhancements and change management initiatives.
Qualifications
- 3 7 years of project management experience in an in-house marketing, advertising, communications, or agency environment.
- Experience partnering with creative and production teams to deliver campaigns across multiple channels, including video, print, digital, and web.
- Experience working within Agile development teams and facilitating Agile ceremonies. Scrum Master certification is a plus.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, manage competing priorities, and coordinate multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Creative thinker, self-starter, and effective problem solver.
- Working knowledge of Workfront or comparable project management software, and/or Azure DevOps.
- Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries is preferred.
