The Role
As a Senior Civil Designer with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.
- Having good experience of working on Domestic & International Projects in the domain of Oil & Gas/ Chemical/ Petrochemicals, Power projects.
- You will provide Structural Engineering services to Worley, and its customers and may provide technical support within the Structural team.
- Hands on experience of working on 3D modeling software like E3D, S3D, Tekla and 2D software like Autocad, Microstation etc.
- Should have worked in Preparation of 3D model, Steel & Foundation Drawing preparation of Piperack, Technological Structure, Substation/Control Room Building, Compressor shelters, Warehouse Sheds, Equipment Foundations like (Tanks, Heat Exchangers, Horizontal/Vertical Vessels, Pumps), STG/GTG foundation, Transformer Foundation, Cooling Tower etc.
- Experience in the drawing & detailing of civil facilities (roads, paving, drain networks) is an added advantage.
- Experience with Smart3D and Smart-Sketch is a plus.
- Create and populate 2D drawings from 3D models.
- Attentiveness to detail and possess the ability to gradually work independently.
- Willingness to learn new CAD software tools.
- Proficient in current modelling and drafting software packages.
- FEED and Detailed Engineering experience with RCC detailing is an added advantage.
- Manage structural discipline man hour estimates to perform project tasks.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Technical supervision of project designated structural designers and draftsmen in the execution of their duties.
- Review weekly structural progress and expenditure reports on a project specific basis.
- Benchmark structural design/drafting to identify areas of improvements.
- Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Project.
- Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the Project. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- A recognized ITI / Diploma in the relevant discipline or equivalent.
- Minimum 19-24 years’ experience in Structural design Onshore / Oil & Gas, Refinery, Chemical projects involving conceptual studies, FEED and Detailed Design.
- Experience in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
- Developing skills in modelling and drafting software.
- Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite
- Familiarity with Indian & International codes (American, European) and standards (ADNOC, Qatar Gas, Saudi Aramco) are essential.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
