In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment and automation systems. You will play a key role in troubleshooting equipment failures, implementing preventive actions, supporting automation initiatives, and driving maintenance excellence to achieve operational targets.
You will need to deliver high equipment uptime, effective preventive maintenance, rapid breakdown response, and sustainable corrective actions while supporting production and continuous improvement activities.

Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation-related equipment failures.
Investigating recurring breakdowns and implementing permanent corrective actions to eliminate repeat failures.
Supporting Poka-Yoke implementation and machine error-proofing initiatives.
Working with PLC systems including Omron, Mitsubishi, Keyence, and safety control devices.
Troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLC) to improve machine efficiency, safety, and productivity.
Integrating PLC systems with automation components such as sensors, actuators, servo motors, and related controls.
Developing and modifying mechanical layouts as per project requirements.
Using AutoCAD and SolidWorks for machine improvements, localization of machine parts, and design modifications.
Identifying and managing mechanical spare part requirements for assembly lines.
Optimizing spare parts procurement and inventory planning to ensure equipment availability.
Managing machine breakdown information and analyzing downtime trends.
Collecting, recording, and maintaining maintenance data through ERP systems.
Ensuring accuracy and alignment between breakdown records and ERP data.
Maintaining electrical drawings, hydraulic circuits, manuals, and machine documentation.
Coordinating preventive maintenance activities and updating maintenance records.
Monitoring machine downtime and updating performance metrics in maintenance systems.
Preparing purchase requisitions and coordinating procurement activities with the materials team.
Managing maintenance spare stock and ensuring timely replenishment of critical items.
Maintaining records related to RGP/NRGP and maintenance asset movements.
Ensuring retrieval of critical spare parts within defined response times.
Monitoring equipment parameters such as earth-neutral voltage, hydraulic oil temperature, and control cabinet temperatures.
Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards within maintenance work areas.
Closing maintenance activities with user confirmation and proper documentation.
Conducting root cause analysis using 5 Why methodology and implementing corrective actions.
Maintaining breakdown history and supporting knowledge-sharing through troubleshooting training.
Driving continuous improvement initiatives to improve machine reliability and operational efficiency.
If you have/are:
B.E. in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or a related discipline.
5–10 years of experience in Maintenance Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience in equipment troubleshooting, machine maintenance, and breakdown analysis.
Strong knowledge of PLC systems including Omron, Mitsubishi, Keyence, and industrial safety devices.
Experience with automation components such as sensors, actuators, servo motors, and machine controls.
Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
Experience with ERP systems, maintenance planning, and spare parts management.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and root cause analysis techniques.
Experience in a high-volume manufacturing or automotive production environment.
Strong planning, scheduling, and coordination capabilities.
Good communication skills in English and Tamil.
