BNY is a leading global financial services company that influences nearly 20% of the world’s investible assets. They are seeking a Senior Specialist in Municipal Trading to assist the trading desk with client order execution, manage a book of business, and handle routine client inquiries while functioning independently with delegated responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Provides assistance to the trading desk with client order execution
- Liaises with support full allocation, settles issues on the life cycle of the trade
- Facilitates orders for internal departments. Provides initial recommendations on the pricing of securities
- May execute smaller or less complex trades and determine appropriate prices for transactions
- Assists in the trading and management of a book of business
- Functions independently with delegated responsibilities from more senior traders, which includes the pricing of securities and management of capital risk to maximize returns
- Executes all correspondence requisites with a basic understanding of the underlying business and specific client needs
- Tracks trades and corrects routine trade problems
- Completes assigned research assignments for the Trading function
- Handles routine client inquires and run reports as necessary
