Associate Project Manager (contract)

Hilton is seeking a motivated and organized professional to support the successful delivery of cross-functional business and technology initiatives. This role involves supporting senior project managers on large projects and independently leading smaller projects, requiring strong organization, communication skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams within established project management frameworks.

Responsibilities:

• Support senior project managers in the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of large, cross-functional projects while independently managing smaller projects from initiation through closeout
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, identify key deliverables, and document project outcomes
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, timelines, RAID logs, and status reporting using established project management tools and templates
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including product owners, developers, business stakeholders, vendors, and other project participants to ensure timely execution
• Create, refine, and manage user stories, supporting backlog refinement and prioritization activities as needed
• Facilitate or actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and product demonstrations
• Coordinate testing activities by developing test plans, supporting user acceptance testing (UAT), documenting feedback, and tracking defect resolution
• Proactively identify project risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers, driving resolution or escalating appropriately
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and align with approved scope, timelines, and business objectives
• Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including meeting notes, decision logs, action items, status updates, and project artifacts
• Support intake and triage activities for incoming project requests and assist with work prioritization and coordination across delivery teams
• Communicate project status, milestones, risks, and key decisions clearly and professionally to stakeholders at varying levels of the organization

Requirements:

• 1+ years of hands-on project management or project coordination experience leading or supporting business and/or technology projects is required
• Strong project coordination and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence interacting with cross-functional stakeholders
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships, facilitate discussions, and drive alignment
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a project team
• Working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project delivery methodologies
• Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Monday.com, Smartsheet, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms
• Experience using Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other collaboration tools
• Demonstrated experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing project schedules, risks, issues, and stakeholder communications
• Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project delivery environments
• Experience creating project documentation, facilitating meetings, and tracking project progress
• Salesforce experience is a plus but is not required
• Experience supporting Salesforce or other enterprise technology initiatives is preferred but not required
• PMP, CAPM, Scrum Master, Agile certification, or other project management certifications are a plus but are not required
