Position Overview:
A Quality Analyst is responsible for testing products, systems and software to guarantee they are defect-free and fulfill the quality standards of the organization. A QA will help in developing and executing test plans to ensure that all objectives are met to assess functionality, reliability, performance and quality of the service or product.
Job Responsibilities:
- Designs, develops and executes manual (functional and usability) and automated test strategies for B2B products.
- Develop workflow and testing plans based on observation and knowledge of business users to accurately simulate users’ needs; creating and administering company-wide test scenarios.
- Empathize with end-users needs to provide an exceptional user experience.
- Works with Product Managers to break down Epics and Requirements into Acceptance Criteria.
- Ability to coordinate testing efforts across cross-functional teams.
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience as a Business Analyst, Quality Analyst, or QA engineer.
- Experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry is a plus
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to interact with and effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of common testing methodologies (functional, usability, performance, compliance, security, regression)
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence and Microsoft 365.
Typical Physical Demands:
- Requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time, occasional stooping, and reaching; May require lifting-up to 25 pounds; requires normal range of vision and hearing with or without accommodations.
