Epic Third-Party Apps Project Manager

CSI Companies is seeking an experienced Healthcare IT Project Manager to lead a complex legacy applications initiative for a large healthcare organization. This role involves establishing project structure, coordinating stakeholders, and managing work related to third-party application archival and decommissioning.

Responsibilities:

• Lead legacy and third-party application initiatives from assessment and planning through execution
• Develop project plans, timelines, governance processes, status reports, risk logs, and escalation procedures
• Coordinate application archival, conversion, migration, retirement, and decommissioning activities
• Partner with application owners, technical teams, operational leaders, compliance, legal, data teams, and external vendors
• Support continued access to historical clinical, financial, patient, and operational data
• Manage project dependencies across multiple applications and workstreams
• Facilitate application assessments and disposition planning
• Coordinate vendor activities, deliverables, timelines, and issue resolution
• Provide clear executive-level reporting on project milestones, risks, decisions, and overall status
• Maintain standardized project management documentation and controls

Requirements:

• Extensive healthcare IT project management experience
• Experience leading legacy application archival, conversion, migration, or decommissioning projects
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects from early assessment and planning through completion
• Strong project governance, risk management, vendor management, and executive communication skills
• Experience coordinating multiple applications, vendors, stakeholders, and technical workstreams
• Ability to operate effectively within a large, complex healthcare environment
• Ability to begin the engagement no later than August 3
• PMP certification
• Experience supporting enterprise EHR implementations or modernization programs
• Experience with legacy healthcare platforms such as Epic, Oracle Health/Cerner, MEDITECH, or similar systems
• Application rationalization and portfolio assessment experience
• Knowledge of healthcare data-retention, compliance, legal, and historical-access requirements
• Experience managing clinical, financial, revenue-cycle, or operational data initiatives
• Previous experience leading multiple implementation or conversion cycles
