Senior Full Stack Engineer

Basedash is looking for a senior full stack engineer with strong product sense who is genuinely excited about AI. The role involves leading full-stack feature work, building AI-driven solutions, and collaborating closely with the CEO and founders on product strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Lead full-stack feature work — from product spec through design, implementation, and rollout
• Build with AI deeply: agents, retrieval, tool use, and the surrounding product surface
• Own areas of the codebase end-to-end and drive technical direction within them
• Work directly with the CEO and founders on product strategy and prioritization
• Talk to users, sit in on demos, and turn what you learn into shipped product

Requirements:

• Senior engineer who has built and shipped non-trivial products at high quality
• Strong product sense — you have opinions about UX and push back on bad ideas
• Genuinely excited about AI and have built real things with frontier models
• Comfortable with ambiguity and high autonomy. You decide what to build next
• Strong fundamentals across the stack — TypeScript, React, Node, Postgres, and modern infra
• Based in Canada or the US, with overlapping working hours
• Experience with data-heavy products, BI tools, or developer tooling
• Past founder or early-stage startup experience
• Open source contributions or projects we can look at
