Cloudwick modernizes how government works with data, and they are seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join their delivery teams. This role involves building data solutions on the Amorphic platform within customer environments, requiring strong data and cloud engineering skills.
Responsibilities:
- Embed with a customer's technical staff for the build, learn an unfamiliar data landscape fast, and build the working solution on Amorphic inside the agency's own AWS account
- Stand up ingestion and pipelines, build the entity-resolution and document-intelligence use cases, curate governed datasets, and deliver the consumption layer
- Apply modern data architectures to the problem in front of you: choose the right patterns for the customer's data and their goals, and implement them
- Turn the engagement's framing and the Solution Architect's design into working software
- Build toward how the organization will actually use the data, representing the customer's needs even when they're not in the room
- Make it last: document it, harden it, and hand off the build so it survives after you move on
- Help the agency grow competent on Amorphic itself, so their own team can use and extend the platform, not just receive what we build
- Bring in our AI and data-science specialists when an engagement needs deeper ML, GenAI, or entity-resolution work
Requirements:
- You understand modern data architectures and how they apply
- You're strong on data and cloud, especially AWS
- You're as interested in helping customers figure out what to build as in helping them build it
- You point your tech and data depth at the customer's real challenges, and you build things that last
- You've built and shipped real data systems, the kind that went into production and got used, ideally for government or other complex, real-world customers
- We care about the shape of your career, not the logos in it. What we're really looking for is range: curiosity, a habit of learning, and a track record of building real things across different problems
- Familiarity with ML, GenAI, RAG, or entity resolution is welcome
