Systems Engineer 0726

Nexus IT Group is seeking a Systems Engineer to partner with senior technical staff in the design, implementation, and support of modern infrastructure platforms and automated service deployments. This role will contribute to the development of reusable infrastructure solutions and operational tooling that enable reliable, scalable application services.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and deploy infrastructure services using container and orchestration technologies
• Develop and maintain automated provisioning, configuration, and deployment workflows
• Evaluate system designs to ensure high availability, scalability, and operational efficiency
• Create prototypes and tooling that streamline infrastructure operations and service delivery
• Author and maintain deployment documentation, runbooks, and technical standards
• Support migration efforts between existing environments and new platforms, including data and configuration transitions
• Establish testing and validation processes for new deployments and infrastructure changes
• Collaborate with teammates to share knowledge and promote engineering best practices

Requirements:

• Approximately 3–5 years of experience in systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or a similar discipline
• Hands-on experience with containerized workloads and orchestration platforms
• Proficiency in scripting and infrastructure automation
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code concepts and deployment tooling
• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation abilities
• Familiarity with distributed data platforms, messaging technologies, or microservices-based architectures
• Exposure to public cloud environments and configuration management frameworks
