itD is seeking a Technical Project Manager II to support the planning, execution, and optimization of live and pre-recorded media experiences across immersive platforms. This role will drive cross-functional delivery across broadcast operations, streaming technology, vendor management, and platform initiatives to ensure high-quality event execution at scale.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key technical point of contact for vendor engagement, live event support, and operational execution across live and video-on-demand workflows
- Support and enable vendor teams by providing guidance, training, and operational support to ensure accurate and efficient event delivery
- Monitor live broadcasts in real time, troubleshoot technical issues, and coordinate resolution with engineering and production teams
- Design and document media workflow architectures, including signal paths, contribution pipelines, and distribution processes
- Validate streaming workflows including ingest configurations, encoding/transcoding processes, data integrity, failover procedures, and quality assurance checkpoints
- Apply knowledge of streaming infrastructure, including ingest protocols, adaptive bitrate packaging, content delivery networks, and playback workflows to improve platform reliability
- Translate operational requirements into technical specifications, acceptance criteria, and rollout plans for platform features
- Develop and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, escalation workflows, and process improvements
- Manage technical projects from initiation through completion, including defining scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and deliverables
- Partner with Engineering, Product, Production, and Partnerships teams to drive alignment and resolve execution challenges
- Lead vendor evaluations, integration testing, and platform readiness assessments for new broadcast initiatives
- Develop and maintain automation and AI-based tooling solutions to improve operational efficiency
- Attend regular internal practice community meetings
- Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership
- Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material)
- Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice
- Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual)
- Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in video content operations, broadcast operations, streaming media, or related technical roles within entertainment/media industries
- Experience supporting live broadcast environments, including switching, routing, signal path design, network monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of broadcast contribution and distribution standards such as SMPTE ST 2110/2022, SCTE-35, data workflows, and closed captioning
- Experience with streaming platform fundamentals, including ingest protocols (RTMP, SRT, RIST), transcoding/encoding workflows, adaptive bitrate packaging (HLS, DASH), and CDN delivery
- Experience managing technical projects across multiple teams and priorities
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent work experience required
- Experience with VR, immersive media, or next-generation content formats
- Experience with signal path planning tools, network diagrams, or workflow visualization tools
- Hands-on experience with broadcast control systems, video routers, or IP-based media workflows
- Familiarity with live video monitoring and observability platforms
- Experience creating operational documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and process playbooks
- Background in platform feature scoping, requirements gathering, or product operations
- Experience with cloud-based media processing pipelines
- Experience working at a studio, media company, streaming platform, post-production facility, or live event production environment
- Familiarity with automation and scripting for operational workflows
- Knowledge of content protection technologies including DRM, watermarking, and access control mechanisms
- Experience developing AI tools to improve operational workflows
