Mode Mobile is the parent company of a portfolio of technology businesses, including NGL, a viral social app with over 100 million monthly users. The Senior Product Manager, Growth will own and scale NGL’s revenue and lifecycle growth by turning traffic into durable, monetizable user behavior, working cross-functionally to define and execute the product strategy and roadmap.
Responsibilities:
- Define the product strategy & roadmap
- Translate the strategy into a roadmap of rigorous, high-quality PRDs. You are expected to sweat every detail of your PRDs, features, and ideas ensuring every one is well-crafted and impactful
- Collaborate with Product Marketing to define high-performing copy and push
- Collaborate with the Monetization team to uncover and test improvements to app monetization
- Grow and refine the product and design backlog by prioritizing against short- and long-term value
- Use documents, presentations, and 1:1s to help the NGL team (Eng, Design, Data) completely understand the product strategy and roadmap – ensuring they understand what success looks like and how we plan to get there
- Work with Engineering Management to create PRDs, epics, and stories that align to deliver projects, and enter them into the sprint
- Keep the broader company informed about the direction and performance of NGL
- Leverage qualitative and quantitative learnings to develop a deep intuition for what is important to our users, and use that to drive our roadmap and help shape the overall business unit strategy
- Collaborate with the Data team to design and execute experiments, analyzing results to uncover actionable insights that drive product iteration and feature development
- Be the expert of customer needs, pain points, and desires
- Conduct user experience research, in conjunction with customer service and marketing teams
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Growth Product roles for Gen Z social/community mobile apps, with ownership of revenue and product growth
- Experience shipping world-class products in a fast-growing startup
- A detail-oriented style, with a passion for digging into the details to create highly-effective designs; experience signing-off on designs and finished products
- Experience using qualitative and quantitative data to define your roadmap and review impact
- Experience owning and driving growth of core product metrics such as DAU, signups, and retention
- Experience creating localized, high-performing copy/messaging (e.g. push notifications, questions) for social apps
- A passion for digging into complex problems, breaking them down, and quickly identifying root causes/drivers
- Proven track record running high-velocity A/B testing and maintaining a structured experimentation backlog
- Experience partnering closely with Engineering to build and ship features
- Experience working cross-functionally with UA, Monetization, Design, and Data teams
- Experience building products with strong K-Factor and viral loops
