Associate Product Manager - In-Car Video / Telematics / Mobile Apps

Motorola Solutions is a global community dedicated to keeping people safer everywhere through innovative technology. They are seeking an enthusiastic Associate Product Manager for their In-Car Video product line to understand market requirements, manage product lifecycles, and work closely with development teams to maintain and prioritize product backlogs.

Responsibilities:

• Work to understand the market's product requirements and enable their delivery, including competition
• Based on the product’s lifecycle, create a maintenance plan to manage associated products
• Work alongside the product owner and development teams to help create well-maintained, refined, and prioritized product backlogs that include consistent, measurable “definitions of done.”
• Define product release plans, including measuring their progress towards completion and tracking the predictability
• Manage prioritization of market expansion or establishment, including coordination with marketing, sales, training, support, and partners, and identify translations and territorial approval requirements
• Assist with specific large-opportunity projects
• Persuade and influence others through strong communication
• Develop and demonstrate a high level of subject matter expertise

Requirements:

• BS in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Product Management, or related field
• At least 5 years of Product Management experience in in-car video and/or telematics hardware, firmware, applications, and solutions development
• Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to understand and communicate the product roadmap & vision to the development team, refine product backlog items, and report progress to a broad audience, including the business, product management stakeholders, and the development teams
• English language skills at a level allowing efficient and effective communication
• Self-motivated, positive attitude, an ability and desire to motivate others
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required
• A good understanding of and experience in the enterprise segment of the in-car video market is a plus
