Humana is a leading U.S. healthcare company focused on improving consumer experiences. The Senior Project Manager will manage all aspects of projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget while leading teams and communicating effectively across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of a project, from start to finish, to complete it on time and within budget
- Design, communicate, and implement an operational plan for completing the project; monitor progress and performance against the project plan; resolve operational problems and minimize delays
- Identify the resources to complete the project
- Prepare designs and work specifications; develop project schedules, budgets and forecasts; and select materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors
- Communicate with other operational areas in the organization to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project
- Conduct meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project
- Set priorities, allocate tasks, and coordinate project staff to meet project targets and milestones
- Begin to influence department's strategy
- On moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, perform work without direction
- Exercise considerable latitude in determining goals and approaches to assignments
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5 or more years of technical experience
- Previous Project Management experience
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer experiences
- Reside in one of the following states: Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois
- Work at Home Requirements: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
- Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
- Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required
