Bill of Materials (BOM) Specialist

Position: BOM Specialist

Location: Jacksonville, FL Onsite

Type of Employment: 12+ Months Contract

Role Description:

• BOM creation and structure: Develop and maintain hierarchical BOMs, including EBOMs and MBOMs, with accurate part numbers, quantities, units of measure, revisions, and usage notes to support engineering, manufacturing, and service teams. Configure and manage BOM data in ERP/ Planning System. Create and maintain data integrity. Change control and ECO management: Lead engineering change orders impacting BOMs by evaluating scope, updating BOM items, coordinating approvals, and updating downstream manufacturing and procurement records. Cross-functional coordination: Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Material Planning, and Regulatory teams to validate BOM content, assess substitute parts, and resolve discrepancies.

Essential Skills: Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• Support change management requests required for updates in CMS.
• Prioritize and optimize BOM change requests based on business needs, compliance requirements, and implementation timelines.
• Use PLM/PDM, ERP/MRP, spreadsheet, and database tools to extract, manipulate, analyze, and report BOM data
• Experience in Medical Device industry

Role Summary

Own and manage the Bill of Materials (BOM) lifecycle for assigned medical device products, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and compliance from concept through production and obsolescence.
