Pure Storage is reshaping the data storage industry and is seeking a Technical Design Architect - Data Management. In this role, you will architect solutions for enterprises to discover, classify, and secure their data, serving as a strategic technical authority and collaborating with various teams to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and deploy Inventa platform solutions tailored to diverse customer environments, driving platform adoption and enabling organizations to securely contextualize their data across cloud, on-premises, and edge environments
- Guide enterprise customers through data infrastructure mapping by seamlessly connecting the platform to on-premises databases, file servers, cloud storage, SaaS applications, and data lakes via robust API designs
- Diagnose and resolve complex systemic issues involving network connectivity, access permissions, and resource utilization to ensure optimal platform performance and reliability
- Build and maintain scalable architecture guides, technical documentation, and knowledge base articles that establish standard design patterns and elevate the technical capabilities of the broader organization
- Synthesize field-tested insights and design feedback to collaborate with Product and Engineering teams, directly improving platform usability, product features, and deployment efficiency
Requirements:
- 5+ years in technical architecture or customer-facing implementation roles (professional services, solutions architecture, or similar)
- Deep capability in designing and implementing complex data systems and API integrations within enterprise customer environments (such as professional services or solutions architecture)
- Hands-on proficiency with system and data administration, container orchestration utilizing Kubernetes and Helm, and scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, and regex
- Ability to translate complex data handling workflows into secure architectures that align with global regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to simplify intricate technical and architectural concepts for both engineering teams and non-technical business stakeholders
- Ability to travel 10–25% based on customer needs and business priorities
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
