Henry Schein, Inc. is seeking a Business Analyst to analyze business performance and support strategic initiatives in customer management and product development. The role involves data analysis, operational implementation, and maintaining documentation to optimize productivity and sales.
Responsibilities:
- Information Acquisition – compiles information necessary to review and report on performance of the division or customers using the Data Warehouse, Operating Systems, External Resources and/or other Resources as required
- Analysis, Reporting & Recommendations – uses database programs spreadsheets, and other statistical and presentation software to analyze acquired information evaluating the performance of customers, developing pricing strategies, establishing performance patterns, determining rebate eligibility and examining base business performance (Sales, GP$, ROI, etc.) – some of these analysis may be periodic in nature (e.g., weekly, monthly, quarterly) and others may be ad hoc – develops reports and presentations to communicate results and recommends business tactics and strategies based on findings
- Operational Implementation & Troubleshooting – Creates, maintains, and updates Sales Plans/Contracts, and Customer Profiles as necessary – troubleshooting issues, bringing discrepancies to upper management’s attention and preparing documentation related to specific issues
- Departmental Documentation – prepares and maintains updated documentation on department procedures
- Special Projects - Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required
Requirements:
- Typically 1-3 or more years of related experience
- Exceptional understanding of the job and ability to apply knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of complex tasks
- Complete tasks in creative and effective ways
- Complete assignments and facilitate the work activities of others; may coordinate work beyond own area
- Apply acquired knowledge of procedures and external regulations
- May provide back-up process support for the Supervisor
- Consistently work on complex and unique assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues
- Make recommendations for new procedures
- Analyze more complex technical or non-technical problems and suggest solutions where precedent may not exist
- Work under minimal supervision and may act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments
- Often act as a facilitator and team leader and may provide informal feedback
- Provide training as needed
