Principal Data Engineer | AWS | Data Pipelines

JMD Technologies Inc. is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to join their team in building scalable, cloud-based data solutions for enterprise analytics and data products. The role focuses on designing high-performance data platforms, optimizing data pipelines, and ensuring data quality and compliance for business stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build scalable ETL/ELT , Data Pipelines , Data Warehouses , and Data Lakes
• Develop cloud-based data solutions using AWS , Python , and SQL
• Build and maintain orchestration workflows using Apache Airflow and dbt
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
• Ensure high data quality , security, and compliance across data platforms
• Mentor junior engineers and translate business requirements into technical solutions

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering with ETL/ELT, Data Pipelines, Data Warehouses, and Data Lakes
• 15+ years of combined experience in data-focused roles
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, and Redshift or BigQuery
• Experience with Apache Airflow and dbt
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field
